This essay outlines why more substantial material on partnerships in practice is so necessary and why the case study offers an excellent model for research into them.

It provides an overview of partnering case studies to date, highlighting issues such as style, scope and accessibility. From this information a series of key issues that emerge when producing and sharing partnering case studies are extracted.
